Hwang Jung Eum is an actress under C-Jes Entertainment. She debuted as the lead vocalist of the K-pop girl group Sugar in 2001 and decided to pursue a solo career in 2004. 2007 was the year she officially debuted as an actress.
Jung Eum’s acting skill is undeniably impressive. She nails every role in different dramas.

This is the story of Jo Min Hyuk who lost his girlfriend in a hit and run accident and Kang Yoo Jung who took the blame for her boyfriend’s crime. While Jo Min Hyuk tries to unfold the secrets behind his late girlfriend’s incident, he fell in love with Kang Yoo Jung.
This drama is so good, both Jung Eum and Ji Sung nailed their acting skills here. Highly recommended bes! But you should prepare a lot of tissues while watching this. Jung Eum’s character here will really touch your heart.

A story of Cha Do Hyun who has Multiple Personality Disorder and Oh Ri Jin, a first year psychiatric resident who secretly helped hi. As Oh Ri Jin helps Cha Do Hyun from his condition, their feelings grow and eventually become lovers. They find out that they met a long time ago.
I love this drama. This drama really deserves a lot of awards indeed. This drama is superb, all characters of Cha Do Hyun are meaningful. I love the 7 personalities of Ji Sung here. Additionally, I fell in love with the charismatic and brave Shin Se Gi. I really love the fact that Jung Eum and Ji Sung reunited again after their drama Secret, hoping to see them again in another drama soon.
Learn to face your deepest fears and pain bravely. Don’t run away from it, let that mold you to become a better person, to become the best version of yourself.
3. She was pretty (2015)
Starring: Hwang Jung Eum as Kim Hye Jin, Park Seo Joon as Ji Sung Joon and Super Junior’s member Choi Siwon as Kim Shin Hyuk.
The story of Kim Hye Jin as a beautiful girl from a rich family but her family’s company went bankrupt. She experienced hardships then lost her beauty too while Ji Sung Joon was an unattractive boy with low self confidence but grows up a handsome and successful editor. Hye Jin and Sung Joon were childhood friends. They decided to meet again when they became an adults but Ji Sung Joon didn’t recognize Kim Hye Jin since she lost her beauty. Hye Jin asked her pretty best friend Ha Ri to meet him in her place. Things get complicated when Kim Hye Jin is assigned to work at the magazine publishing office where Ji Sung Joon is the deputy chief editor .
This is the cutest rom-com drama that I have watched. Seo Joon and Jung Eum’s chemistry here is so kilig! Because of this drama, I experienced 2nd male lead syndrome for the first time with Siwon. He is the perfect example of a man who falls in love with the beauty inside not on the outside, and that is true love! It gets really comical when he’s making fun of Hye Jin just to get her attention and I love the way he calls her “Jackson”.
This drama tells us to embrace our flaws. We are beautiful and unique in our own way. Beauty inside is really what matters the most. Love yourself!
4. Lucky Romance (2016)
Starring: Hwang Jung Eum as Shim Bo Nui and Ryu Jun Yeol as Je Soo Ho.
The story of the romantic and comical relationship between Shim Bo Nui who believes in superstitions and fortune telling and Je Soo Ho who is scientific and a logical man.
The tandem of Ryu Jun Yeol and Hwang Jung Eum in this drama is so adorable. The story is simple yet brings so much kilig plus Jun Yeol is such a cutie when he shows his character’s affection to Jung Eum’s character different from the character portrayed in the drama Reply 1988 as Jung Hwan when I first saw him.
Don’t depend your life on superstitions and fortune telling, you are the one who makes your own destiny and your future. Work hard and be strong enough for your future.
5. The Undateables (2018)
Starring: Hwang Jung Eum as Yoo Jung Eum and Nam Goong Min as Kang Hoon Nam.
The story depicts a relationship expert Kang Hoon Nam who does not believe in love crosses paths with Jung Yoo Eum a relationship helper who believes in love but has to given them up in the face of reality.
For me, Nam Goong Min is the best when he is playing a comical roles than playing a villain roles because why not? He’s really funny when doing it.
The love-hate relationship of Hoon Nam and Yoo Eum is so cute here. They really personifies the quote “The more you hate, The more you love”. The story is very light yet it will not only make your heart flutter but also will make you laugh. Their tandem for rom-com is really impressive. The drama will make you realize that some people are just passing through our lives to teach us lessons.

The story about a girl named Hyun Ju who decided to remain single because she has seen her past lives being left alone and hurt with a guy several times before. She thinks that all men are the same and will break her heart.
I really love this drama. It will surely make a great impact to everyone who wants to fall in love but afraid to do so since they’ve been hurt and wounded before. Hugot yern?
On the other hand, not only the romance of Jung Eum and Hyun Min will make you smile but also the bromance between Hyun Min and Ji Hoon in the story.
7. Mystic Pop-Up Bar (2020)
Starring: Hwang Jung Eum as Weol Ju, Yook Sung Jae as Han Kang Bae and Choi Won Young as chief Gwi
A fantasy drama based on Webtoon series Twin Tops Bar by Bae Hye-soo. It depicts a mystical outdoor bar that helps and heals people through their dreams. The said mystical bar manage by Wol Ju, the afterlife detective Chief Gwi and Han Kang Bae who has the ability of making people pour out their troubles with just one touch which is really helpful in order to settle the grudges of 100,000 souls they need.
This is a highly recommended drama, I swear! It has a lot of lessons and one of those will make us realize that life is really short, so we should spend it preciously with our loved ones. The drama also points out that having family and friends who loves and accepts us is really a blessing.
Aside from the moral lessons, Jung Eum, Sung Jae and Won Young really did a great job here! They make a powerful trio. Watch this bes and I assure you that you’ll definitely love every part of the drama.
