The Succession star and Charton tied the knot in 2013 and share two children together.
Kieran Culkin’s 12-year love story with his wife, Jazz Charton, began with a chance meeting.
Back in 2012, the Succession star and the U.K.-born Charton crossed paths at a New York bar. The rest, as they say, was history; the two married roughly a year later, in 2013, and have since welcomed two children: a daughter, Kinsey Sioux, in September 2019 and a son, Wilder Wolf, in August 2021.

Over the years, Culkin and Charton have cemented themselves as one of Hollywood’s most adorable couples. Though the couple is fairly private, they’ve shared many sweet red-carpet moments and Charton offers glimpses into their family life on Instagram (Culkin himself doesn’t have public social media accounts) including supporting her husband’s rise as an actor.
Below, learn all about Jazz Charton, Kieran Culkin’s wife.
She was born in London.
Charton tends to be private about certain aspects of her personal life, but she has shared that she was born in London and was raised by a single mother, a former model-turned-artist named Corinne "Coco" Charton. (Over the years, Coco has also taken to Instagram to share her own portraits of her daughter with Culkin.)
She met Culkin at a New York bar.
Charton moved to New York in 2010; when she met Culkin, in 2012, she was working in the music department of a New York advertising agency.

But then fate came knocking. In a 2021 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Culkin recounted the story of their chance meeting at an unnamed New York watering hole. “I said, ‘I’m Kieran. You have an English accent. What’s your name?’” Culkin said of their introduction. “She said, ‘Jazz.’ I said, ‘J-A-Z-Z, like the music?’ And she said, ‘Yeah.’ And I said, ‘Well, that’s fucking stupid.’” (Charton laughed, and for all intents and purposes, the moment helped seal the deal.)
In a 2018 interview with the U.K. publication iNews, Culkin shared another anecdote from the moment he met his wife, whom he called “the most beautiful girl.”Charton had initially been at the bar with another man; when the man got up to use the restroom, Culkin saw his chance. “I asked if [the man] was her boyfriend and when she said no, I asked if I could be her boyfriend. We’ve been together ever since,” Culkin told the outlet.
She wasn’t in the public eye before dating Culkin.
While Culkin grew up firmly in the spotlight, having starred in Home Alone with his older brother, Macaulay Culkin, Charton didn’t have a public-facing persona before meeting her husband.
She and Culkin eloped on a road trip.
Roughly one year after meeting, Culkin and Charton eloped on June 22, 2013, while embarking a road trip through Iowa. That summer, Charton shared a snap of their marriage license, and has since taken to Instagram to reflect on the day.

In 2017, in honor of their fourth wedding anniversary, Charton shared a lovely photo from their elopement of the two in their wedding attire. “#tbt to taking time out of our road trip to get married by the side of the road in Iowa during a storm 4 years ago today,” she wrote in the caption. “Still the best pit stop I've ever made.” (In honor of more recent anniversaries, she’s continued to share more photos from the day, like this beautiful, blurry snap for their nine-year celebration.)
She's supportive of Culkin's career—with a sharp sense of humor.
Who doesn’t love a couple with a long-running bit? Although Culkin doesn’t have any public social media accounts, Charton often takes to Instagram to support her husband’s success as an actor — but with a serious dash of wit.
Case in point: Charton often accompanies adorable red-carpet photos of the two of them with captions about her husband losing major awards. But when Culkin finally won a Golden Globe in 2024—the award for Best Actor in a Television Series, Drama, for his role as Roman Roy on Succession—she threw in the towel in the sweetest way.
“He finally did it!!!! How insane! What can I make fun of him for now? I’ll think of something. What an honor it has been to be by his side for all of this,” she gushed in the caption.

Bit aside, Charton is ever the supportive spouse. After Culkin hosted a November 2021 episode of Saturday Night Live, she took to Instagram to show him some love. "Proud would be an understatement,” she wrote in her caption. “So lucky to see this impressive man achieve his dreams — even while our kids deprive me of sleep and just general quality of life."
She and Culkin didn’t always plan to have children.
Although Culkin and Charton have welcomed two children together, the Succession star has shared that parenthood wasn’t always the couple’s plan. "[Having children] just seems like a lot to take on,” Culkin told iNews in 2018. “I suppose if [Jazz] gets pregnant, that would be fine, but it's really not on our horizon." But then…
Their first daughter was conceived after the 2019 Golden Globes.
It’s as if Culkin predicted the future! The 2019 Golden Globes was a fateful evening for the couple, and not just because Culkin was nominated for best supporting actor for his role as Roman Roy on Succession. It was also they night they conceived their first child.
In May 2019, Charton announced her first pregnancy on Instagram, adding "#theglobeswerefun" at the end of her caption. “My favourite surprise so far,” she wrote accompanying an image of her sonogram. “We had no idea how much we wanted this until it happened. We’re excited/terrified/ecstatic/unprepared but we cannot wait to meet our little unexpected creation in September.”

To extend the bit further, after the 2020 Golden Globes the following year—for which Culkin was again nominated for his role as the youngest Roy sibling—Charton shared a playful callback to the previous year. "My 3 time Golden Globe loser. I got pregnant the last time he lost so I'm out of consolation prize ideas,” she wrote.
She and Culkin share two children together.
Although parenthood wasn’t in the couple’s original plan, they’ve welcomed two children together: their daughter, Kinsey Sioux, was born in September 2019 and their son, Wilder Wolf, was born in August 2021.
Charton often takes to Instagram to share sweet, funny snaps of the couple’s family life, from casual candids to a family trip to the Succession set (specifically, the home of Culkin’s onscreen father, the media titan Logan Roy).
And every Father’s Day, Charton takes to Instagram to honor Culkin and their children with her trademark playful captions: “Happy Father’s Day to this one. Thanks for accidentally knocking me up, best thing to ever happen to me ♥️,” she wrote in 2020.
She and Culkin made their Met Gala debut in 2024.
On May 6, 2024, Charton and Culkin made their Met Gala debut as a couple! Charton wore a bright yellow gown, while Culkin opted for a colorful paint-splattered suit by KidSuper. The two looked every bit the happy couple, even doing their on take on an awkward prom pose on the red carpet.
"Imposter syndrome x100000000 but oh my what a night! What beautiful people, beautiful chats, beautiful everything," Charton wrote on Instagram in a post commemorating the night.
